Thou: Summit (Tour Version)

"
You cannot always stay on the summits. You have to come down again . . .
So what’s the point? Only this: what is above knows what is below, what is below does not know what is above. While climbing, take note of all the difficulties along your path. During the descent, you will no longer see them, but you will know that they are there if you have observed carefully.
There is an art to finding your way in the lower regions by the memory of what you have seen when you were higher up. When you can no longer see, you can at least still know. . ."
- René Daumal (from his appropriately incomplete (due to his own death) novel Mount Analogue: A Tale of Non-Euclidian and Symbolically Authentic Mountaineering Adventures.)
-----

"This version of "Summit" was released in part due to a slight audio issue with the original master that made it impossible to have the official/full version of the album done in time for Thou's June 2010 tour. Our mess is your benefit."

Neurosis: A Sun That Never Sets

Ok, So... I stole the link from a forum, but only 'cause I'm listening to it right now and : BEST SHIT EVER EXCLAMATION POINT : is popping up in my head in all caps like that, but, actually, the ones in my head are, like, rainbow colored and flashing really bright, but somehow not glowing, just really bright, and screaming really loudly into what was/used to be my former brain, but is now a random set neurons and synaptic connections firing off in some completely nonsensical order that I can't, as hard as I try, make any sense of, so it must be no longer be my brain, but now actually, they're starting to make sense and as I see it now, the flashes of those neurons firing are forming a complete set of the runes which Odin gave to the most noble of men after sacrificing his left eye and hanging upside down from a tree for 9 days while his white steed circled around him. A complete set but not carved into a tree, a complete set but carved into my complete, but re-ordered brain.
